BioNathan writes fiction closely based on his own life experiences.
His novel ‘The Freeing of Jonathon Mark’ was a result of chasing the plastic happiness of consumerist dreams. It is also a study of how he opted out of these pursuits for a fresh start, to forge a new life where he can be free from empty conformity. ‘The Freeing of Jonathon Mark’ won an IPPY award for best fiction.
In his second novel, ‘My Daughter, my Assassin’, Nathan draws on the trials and tribulations of having being an at-home father for many years. The book is in some ways a self-examination of this period of his life.
His other published works include Ginger the Carrot, a picture book for adults, and the illustrated Japanese accordion style book, ‘The very real story of the very, very Old Dude’, enforcing his thinking that a book is also an object of art. He is also the director and scenarist for a number of award winning short films.
Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Nathan now resides in the south-west of France, where he continues to write.
